Skillet Lasagna
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 envelope spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 lb. creamed cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 16 oz. can tomatoes, chopped
- 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 3 c. broad noodles (8 oz., uncooked)
- 2 tsp. basil leaves (sweet)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
- Use 12-inch skillet.
- Cook meat in butter until it loses its red color.
- Sprinkle half of spaghetti sauce mix over meat and mix.
- Spoon cottage cheese over meat.
- Top with noodles in a layer and sprinkle with rest of spaghetti sauce mix, basil, parsley flakes and salt.
- Pour chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce and 1 cup of water over the top.
- Make sure all is covered and moistened. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 35 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese all over top and let stand 5 minutes or until melted.
