Ham-And-Cheese Pinwheels
- 4 flour tortillas (about 8 inches in diameter)
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 4 slices deli-style boiled ham
- 4 slices American cheese
- 4 large, flat romaine lettuce leaves, washed and dried
- Medium-size carrot, grated
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Lay out the tortillas on a work surface and spread each one with 1/2 tablespoon of the mustard.
- Place 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese on each tortilla. Top with a romaine lettuce leaf. Sprinkle with shredded carrot.
- Roll up the tortillas as tightly as possible. Finish so that the edge is on the bottom. With a paring knife, cut each tortilla crosswise into 4 pieces. Arrange pinwheels on a platter.
- How kids can help: Spread mustard on tortillas; place ham, cheese, and lettuce on tortillas; sprinkle shredded carrot over lettuce.
