Black Bottom Cupcakes

  1. Combine in mixing bowl the cream cheese, egg, sugar and salt; beat well.
  2. Stir in semi-sweet morsels.
  3. Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt.
  4. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla to flour mixture and beat until smooth.
  5. Fill cupcake pans 1/3 full of chocolate batter.
  6. Top each with a heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture.
  7. Sprinkle with sugar and chopped nuts.
