Ham And Broccoli Royale
- 1 c. uncooked regular rice
- 2 (10 oz. each) pkg. frozen broccoli spears
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine (3/4 stick)
- 2 c. fresh bread crumbs (4 slices)
- 2 large onions, chopped fine (2 c.)
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. milk
- 1 1/2 lb. cooked ham, cubed (4 c.)
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced process white American cheese
- Cook rice following label directions; spoon into a greased refrigerator-to-oven 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Cook broccoli following label directions; drain well.
- Place in a single layer over the rice in baking dish.
- Melt butter or margarine in large frying pan; measure out 2 tablespoons and sprinkle over bread crumbs in a small bowl; set aside.
