Pecan-Cinnamon Buns

  1. Mix 2 packages yeast in 1 cup warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar.
  2. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix flour, sugar and salt in large mixing bowl.
  4. Put shortening in and add egg.
  5. Add 1 cup milk to yeast mixture and pour into flour mixture.
  6. Knead dough and let it rise for an hour.
  7. Knead down and cover for second hour.
  8. Separate dough in 3 pieces.
  9. Roll out about 18-inches long and 9-inches wide.
  10. Spread with margarine.
  11. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  12. Roll longwise and cut into 1-inch slices.
  13. Bake 25 minutes in preheated oven at 350u0b0.
