Chocolate Cream Cheese Cake
- 11 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 lb. butter, softened (2 sticks)
- 2 boxes confectioners sugar
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 pkg. German chocolate, melted
- 1/4 c. solid shortening
- 3 eggs (room temperature)
- 2 1/4 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk (room temperature)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Cream
- together with mixer the cream cheese and butter. Add 1 box confectioners sugar and mix well. Add the second box of confectioners

- and
- 1/4 cup warm water and mix well. Add the

- chocolate. Take out 2 1/2 cups of the mixture and
- reserve
- it

- frosting. Add to the remaining mixture the shortening and eggs (one at a time) and mix well.
