Gumdrop Batter Bread

  1. Stir together 1 1/2 cups flour, yeast, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat milk, water, oil, sugar and salt over low heat until warm, stirring to blend.
  2. Add liquid ingredients to flour-yeast mixture and beat until smooth, about 2 minutes on medium speed of mixer. Blend in eggs and gumdrops.
  3. Stir in more flour to make stiff batter.
  4. Beat batter until batter is elastic about 1 minute on medium speed.
  5. Divide batter into 2 well-greased 1-quart baking dishes or molds.
  6. Let rise in warm place until light bubbly.
  7. Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
  8. Cool.
