Pepperoni Pizza
- Cooking spray
- 1 10-oz package refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 8 ounces shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese
- 3 slices Canadian bacon, cut into wedges
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- Prep time: 10 minutes
- Cook time: 15 minutes
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Roll out the pizza dough and transfer to baking sheet.
- Spread the sauce evenly on pizza dough. Sprinkle on the mozzarella, then the Canadian bacon. Top with the parmesan.
- Bake about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown. Cool for a few minutes before slicing into wedges.
- How kids can help: Roll out pizza dough; measure ingredients; sprinkle on cheese and Canadian bacon.
- For grown-ups: Before baking, top your portion with sliced canned artichoke hearts, black-olive halves, and/or roasted red-pepper strips.
- TIP: Have a picky eater? Skip the meat altogether, or do half-pepperoni, half-plain (just like the pizza place does!)
