Chocolate Chip Pie

  1. Cream butter in a medium mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, syrup, flour, vanilla, and salt; beat well.
  2. Line the bottom of pastry shell with chocolate morsels; pour syrup mixture over chocolate morsels. Bake at 375u0b0 for 40 minutes. Sprinkle toasted almonds over top of pie, and bake an additional 15 minutes. Cool completely.
  3. Pipe whipped cream around edge of pie, using a pastry bag.
