Hunan Beef With Peppers
- 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 lb. boneless sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 Tbsp. finely chopped garlic
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1 medium red pepper, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 medium green pepper, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1/2 c. sliced green onions
- salt and pepper to taste
- In a large bowl, thoroughly combine brown sugar, cornstarch and soy sauce.
- Add beef; turn to coat.
- In large skillet, heat oil and cook garlic, pepper and beef mixture over high heat, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes or until beef is browned.
- Stir in red and green peppers and green onions; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Add salt and pepper.
