Polish Meatball-Sour Soup

  1. Mix ground veal, egg, salt and pepper to taste and seasoned bread crumbs thoroughly.
  2. Form into walnut size balls.
  3. Broil to brown.
  4. Drain fat and set aside.
  5. Into 4 or 5 quarts of boiling water, add onion, garlic, celery, carrots, parsley, beef bouillon cubes or canned broth, bay leaf, salt and pepper, potatoes and wax beans.
  6. Simmer 10 minutes.
  7. Add meatballs and simmer 45 minutes.
