Pasta And Cheese In A Pot
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage
- 2 medium white onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes
- 3 oz. sliced mushrooms
- 8 oz. shell macaroni
- 1 1/2 pt. sour cream
- 1/2 lb. Provolone cheese, sliced
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
- sliced zucchini (optional)
- Cook meats and drain.
- Add onions, garlic, sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms; simmer 20 minutes.
- Cook shells and drain.
- Pour half of shells into a deep casserole; cover with half of the sauce.
- Layer sliced zucchini.
- Spread with half of sour cream and cheeses.
- Then add other half of shells, sauce, etc.
- Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Remove lid to let brown if needed for last 5 minutes. Serves 8.
