Layered Vegetable Salad
- lettuce
- 4 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
- chopped green onions
- chopped green pepper
- chopped celery
- English peas, drained
- chopped tomatoes, drained
- shredded cheese
- salad dressing or mayonnaise
- bacon bits
- Use a large glass bowl, if available.
- Layer lettuce in bottom of bowl.
- Add a layer of sliced eggs, standing some up on the side of bowl.
- Add a layer of chopped onions, celery and pepper.
- Add another layer of lettuce.
- Add a layer of English peas.
- Add a layer of chopped tomatoes.
- Add a layer of shredded cheese. Spread a layer of mayonnaise over the top of it all, sealing to the edge of the bowl.
- Sprinkle with a layer of bacon bits.
- Cover and let set overnight.
- Toss before serving.
