Beef Rolls(Rinderrouladen)

  1. Pound beef slices and rub with salt and pepper.
  2. Cut up bacon, chop onion and parsley and mix all with mustard.
  3. Spread this on beef slices and roll up tightly.
  4. Tie with string and dip rolls in 1 tablespoon flour and fry in butter to brown all sides.
  5. Add water and stew for 30 minutes.
  6. When water has evaporated, turn rolls once again.
  7. Remove, untie and place on hot platter.
  8. In pan, add flour, cream, seasonings and beef stock to make gravy.
  9. Pour over meat.
  10. Serves 4.
