Beef Rolls(Rinderrouladen)
- 4 thin slices beef
- salt and pepper
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 onion
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 Tbsp. mustard
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. water
- extra flour
- 2 Tbsp. cream
- salt and pepper
- paprika
- 2 Tbsp. beef stock
- Pound beef slices and rub with salt and pepper.
- Cut up bacon, chop onion and parsley and mix all with mustard.
- Spread this on beef slices and roll up tightly.
- Tie with string and dip rolls in 1 tablespoon flour and fry in butter to brown all sides.
- Add water and stew for 30 minutes.
- When water has evaporated, turn rolls once again.
- Remove, untie and place on hot platter.
- In pan, add flour, cream, seasonings and beef stock to make gravy.
- Pour over meat.
- Serves 4.
