Taco Salad
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning
- 1 head lettuce
- 1 can dark red kidney beans
- 8 oz. Cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 8 oz. Thousand Island dressing
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. taco seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. taco sauce
- 8 oz. crushed taco chips
- Brown ground beef and mix in all but 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning mix.
- Shred lettuce into one large bowl with kidney beans, onion and tomatoes.
- Add cooled ground beef.
- Just before serving, mix dressing, sugar, taco sauce and 1 tablespoon taco seasoning.
- Pour over other ingredients and mix.
- Add shredded cheese and crushed taco chips.
- Stir and serve.
- Makes a large bowl.
