Mostaccioli
- 1/2 lb. mostaccioli noodles
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. chili pepper
- 1 lb. ground beef or turkey (for less fat)
- 1 (14 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, drained
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
- In large pot boil noodles according to package directions; drain.
- In large skillet, brown beef or turkey, onion and celery until meat is browned and celery is tender.
- Drain fat.
- Add the remaining ingredients, except the noodles and cheese.
- Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Pour meat mixture and drained noodles into a 3-quart baking dish and mix.
- Then top with cheese and bake at 350u0b0 for about 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serves 6 to 8.
- Great with garlic bread and salad.
