Mock Steak(Serves 10 People)

  1. Mix meat, flour and seasonings by hand.
  2. Shape into long loaf pan or individual rounds.
  3. Wrap in foil and place in refrigerator 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
  4. When ready to cook the loaf, prepare heavy-duty skillet with 3 tablespoons melted shortening.
  5. Slice meat 1/2-inch thick and shape into steak like pieces.
  6. Brown in skillet on both sides.
  7. Remove slices to a large baking dish. Prepare sauce by mixing onion soup mix, mushroom soup and 2 cans of water.
  8. Pour over meat; cover with foil.
  9. Bake 1 hour at 350u0b0. Serves 10 people.
