Chocolate Cream Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Cream butter, shortening, and cream cheese in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Stir in melted chocolate.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a small mixing bowl; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in pecans.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheets. Remove from cookie sheets, and cool completely on wire racks.
