Maple-Chipotle Barbecue Sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Remove white papery skin from garlic head (do not peel or separate the cloves). Wrap head in foil. Bake at 350u0b0 for 1 hour; cool 10 minutes. Separate cloves; squeeze to extract garlic pulp. Discard skins.
  3. Combine garlic and remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat; bring to a simmer. Cook 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Strain mixture through a sieve over a bowl, and discard solids.
