Oh For Gosh Sakes Salad
- 1 box lime jello
- 1 box lemon jello
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. horseradish
- 1 c. salad dressing
- 1 c. canned milk
- nutmeats
- 12 to 15 medium size potatoes, boiled in jackets
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- salt and pepper
- 3/4 c. Mazola oil
- 1/2 c. cider or tarragon vinegar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- Boil potatoes only until done.
- Cool and peel while warm. Slice thinly.
- Sprinkle garlic and onion over potatoes.
- Add pepper and the oil.
- In cup, add salt, vinegar and boiling water. Stir to dissolve salt.
- Pour over potato mixture and mix gently. Salad is to be served warm.
- A garnish of sliced hard-boiled eggs, parsley and pickles may be added.
- Will serve 6 to 8.
