Cinnamon Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Beat butter with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, vanilla, and salt, beating well.
  3. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Gradually add flour to butter mixture, beating just until moist. Press flour mixture into bottom of an 8-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle cinnamon chips and pecans over flour mixture.
  4. Beat egg whites with a mixer at high speed until foamy. Gradually beat in 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks form. Spread egg white mixture over cinnamon chips and pecans. Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 to 22 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly; cut into 16 bars.
