3 Grain Holiday Rice

  1. Rinse wild and brown rice well.
  2. Chop celery in 1/4-inch cubes.
  3. Chop green onions and saute with garlic in oil.
  4. Crush garlic with a fork.
  5. Add water and bring to a boil.
  6. Stir in celery, wild and brown rice, herbs, salt and pepper.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Cover; reduce heat and cook gently for 30 minutes.
  9. Add white rice and cook an additional 30 minutes or until water is absorbed.
  10. Chop nuts and add just before serving.
  11. Makes 12 (1/2 cup each size) servings.
