Pork Chops And Potato Combo
- 6 to 8 pork chops
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. water
- 1 c. sliced carrots
- 1 pkg. frozen French-style green beans
- 1 pkg. scalloped potatoes
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cook pork chops in shortening until brown; sprinkle with salt.
- Heat water to boiling in 3-quart saucepan. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling.
- Pour into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- Place pork chops on top.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake 1 hour.
- Remove foil; bake until pork chops are done, 10 to 15 minutes longer.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
