Speedy Skillet Steaks
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp. chervil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 4 beef cube steaks (about 1 lb.)
- vegetable cooking spray
- 2 Tbsp. dry white wine
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. chopped green onion
- 1 large ripe tomato, cut in wedges
- Combine first five ingredients.
- Dredge steaks in flour mixture.
- Coat a large skillet with cooking spray.
- Add steaks and cook over medium heat 5 minutes on each side.
- Drain on paper towels and wipe skillet clean.
- Return steaks to skillet.
- Add wine, water and onion.
- Cover and simmer 6 minutes or until steaks are tender.
- Add tomato wedges to skillet.
- Cover and simmer 2 minutes or until completely heated.
