Bourbon Balls

  1. Sift cocoa and powdered sugar into a bowl.
  2. Stir in bourbon which has been combined with syrup; mix well.
  3. Add crumbs and nuts; mix well again.
  4. Roll into small balls about 3/4 inch in diameter.
  5. Drop into a bowl of powdered sugar; roll around to coat on all sides.
  6. Allow to dry several hours before using.
  7. These may be prepared ahead of time and will freeze well.
  8. Keep in airtight container.
  9. Before serving, put an additional small amount of powdered sugar into container and shake.
  10. Makes 9 dozen.
