Candied Yams

  1. In saucepan, pour reserved liquid from canned yams or sweet potatoes.
  2. Add crushed pineapple, honey, brown sugar, white sugar, nutmeg and raisins.
  3. Bring this to a boil and slowly add flour that has been mixed with 1/2 cup of cool water.
  4. Cook until the mixture has thickened slightly.
  5. Arrange yams in a baking dish; pour the mixture over them and bake 35 minutes at 350u0b0.
  6. (Set dish on cookie sheet in case of boil over.)
  7. The last 5 minutes of baking time, cover the potatoes with marshmallows and bake until they're lightly browned.
