Real Italian Spaghetti
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 2 cloves minced garlic (I leave this out)
- 15 oz. can tomatoes
- 6 oz. tomato paste
- 16 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms (I leave these out)
- 1 1/2 tsp. parsley
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. aumin seed (I leave out; I use cumin seed)
- 1 tsp. basil
- 3/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 7 oz. spaghetti
- Brown beef and pork.
- Drain meat by putting on paper towels and soaking up as much of the grease as possible.
- Mix tomato sauce and paste.
- Add spices, onion and mushrooms; simmer for 55 minutes.
- Add cheese and simmer for another 15 minutes.
- Serve.
