Cornish Hens In Orange Sauce
- 6 thawed Cornish hens
- 1 small box long grain wild rice
- 1 small box quick rice
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- whipped margarine to coat hens
- 1 1/4 Tbsp. minced onion
- 5 Tbsp. butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- Cook rice as directed on box and drain.
- Combine rice and the following:
- onion, 1/2 teaspoon celery salt and parsley.
- Then add butter, eggs, garlic, salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix well and stuff hens with rice mixture.
- Place extra rice on bottom of large, deep baking pan.
- Arrange hens on top of rice and coat hens generously with whipped margarine.
- Sprinkle lightly with additional salt, minced garlic, minced onion and parsley flakes. Bake 1 hour in 375u0b0 oven.
- Keep hens moist by basting with prepared Orange Sauce.
