Puff Pastry Chicken Bundles

  1. Unfold pastry sheets, roll
  2. each sheet to 12 x 10-inches.
  3. Cut into four (6
  4. x
  5. 5-inch) rectangles;
  6. shape each into an oval by trimming off
  7. corners.
  8. Spread each oval with about 1 1/2 tablespoons of
  9. cheese.
  10. Sprinkle
  11. chicken with salt and pepper and place in center of pastry oval.
  12. Fold pastry around chicken, completely enclosing.
  13. Moisten
  14. edge
  15. with
  16. water and press firmly to seal.
  17. Place
  18. seam
  19. side down on baking sheet. Use remaining pastry to decorate bundles, making twisted ropes or heart shapes. Combine
  20. egg
  21. and water, brush over bundles. Bake at 400u0b0 for 25 minutes
  22. or
  23. until
  24. golden brown.
  25. Serves four.
  26. Garnish with curly endive.
