Chocolate And Fruit Trifle

  1. Prepare cake batter according to package directions; pour into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.
  2. Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  3. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. Crumble enough cake to measure 8 cups; set aside.
  5. Save remaining cake for another use. In a mixing bowl, combine milk and water until smooth.
  6. Add pudding mix; beat on low speed for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  7. Fold in the whipped cream.
  8. To assemble, spread 2 1/2 cups pudding mixture in a 4 quart glass bowl.
  9. Top with half of the crumbled cake; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon orange juice. Arrange half of the berries and kiwi over cake.
  10. Repeat pudding and cake layers; sprinkle with remaining orange juice.
  11. Top with remaining pudding mixture.
  12. Spoon remaining fruit around edge of bowl.
  13. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
  14. Yield: 12-16 servings.
