Wild Rice With Sausage

  1. Saute the bulk sausage or link sausages, removing the casing. Drain on paper towels and break the meat into small pieces.
  2. Saute the mushrooms and onions in the sausage drippings.
  3. Add the cooked sausage.
  4. Wash the rice thoroughly.
  5. Cook in boiling salted water for 15 minutes.
  6. Drain.
  7. Mix the flour with cream until very smooth.
  8. Add the chicken broth and cook in a saucepan until thickened.
  9. Season with oregano, thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper. Combine with rice, sausage and vegetables.
  10. Toss together lightly.
  11. Add pepper seasoning.
  12. Pour into casserole dish and bake at 350u0b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
  13. Put rice on platter.
  14. Makes 12 servings.
