Friendship Cake
- 1 pt. starter
- 16 oz. can sliced peaches and its juices
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 20 oz. can chunk pineapple and its juices
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 small jars maraschino cherries
- 1 can fruit cocktail and juice
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 boxes Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
- 3 boxes vanilla instant pudding
- 12 eggs
- 2 c. Wesson oil
- 3 c. raisins
- 3 c. walnuts
- 3 c. pecans
- 3 c. coconut (optional)
- Day 1:
- Pour one pint starter into glass gallon jar or ceramic crock.
- Add sliced peaches and its juices.
- Cut slice into four pieces.
- Add 2 1/2 cups sugar.
- Stir once every day for 10 days. Cover juice with plate or saucer.
- Leave the mixture sitting out at room temperature.
