Fresh Grapefruit Cake

  1. In large bowl, cream butter.
  2. Gradually add sugar; beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture, alternating with grapefruit juice (beginning and ending with flour mixture).
  4. Gradually add milk.
  5. Stir in peel and vanilla; mix well.
  6. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9-inch round pans. Bake at 350u0b0 for about 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove; let cool completely.
  9. Frost with Grapefruit Frosting.
