Five Minute Banana Pudding

  1. Melt sugar in a heavy skillet until golden brown.
  2. Pour into a 1-quart souffle dish and tilt it immediately to coat the bottom and sides with caramel.
  3. Beat eggs, adding sugar gradually, until thick and pale.
  4. Heat milk, add flavorings, then slowly pour into egg mixture.
  5. Gently pour into caramelined dish and bake in a pan of hot water at 325u0b0 about 1 hour or until set.
  6. Chill, then unmold.
