Pecan Balls

  1. Add brown sugars to melted margarine; stir until dissolved. Add the dates and 1 1/2 tablespoons water to sugar, margarine and date mixture.
  2. Cook for 6 minutes, stirring all the time.
  3. Take off stove; add coconut, pecans and vanilla.
  4. Let cool until you can handle it.
  5. Add Rice Krispies.
  6. Mix well and roll in small balls.
  7. Drop in a plastic bag with 1/2 cup confectioners sugar. Lay them on foil until cool.
  8. Store in plastic bowl until ready to serve.
  9. (Very good to serve at Christmas.)
