Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

  1. Combine sugar, margarine, cream cheese, salt, almond extract, vanilla and egg yolk; blend well.
  2. Stir in flour until well blended.
  3. Refrigerate dough at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Heat oven to 375u0b0.
  5. Roll out on floured surface,
  6. using 1/3 of dough at a time, to 1/8 inch thick.
  7. Cut with floured cookie cutter.
  8. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes. Leave cookies plain or brush with egg white (slightly beaten) and sprinkle with colored sugar before cooking.
  10. Makes 5 to 6 dozen, depending on how big and thick cookies are.
