Sweet Skillet Sirloin
- 3 green onions, minced
- 2 tablespoons lite soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon dark sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper
- 3 garlic cloves (about 3 teaspoons), minced and divided
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- Hot cooked brown rice (optional)
- Cooked frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- Combine first 5 ingredients and 2 teaspoons minced garlic in a large zip-top plastic freezer bag; add beef. Seal and shake to coat. Chill 30 minutes.
- Saute remaining 1 teaspoon minced garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until tender. Add beef mixture; cook over medium-high heat 3 to 5 minutes or to desired degree of doneness. (Do not overcook or beef will burn.) Serve with rice and vegetables, if desired.
