Neil'S Hearty Italian Soup

  1. Saute sausage, onions and garlic; drain, if necessary.
  2. Add beef broth, tomatoes, wine, sugar and herbs.
  3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add pasta; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes longer or until vegetables and pasta are tender.
  6. Sprinkle with pepper and parsley.
  7. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
