Chili Kahlua
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 bell pepper, chunked
- 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes, partially drained
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. marjoram
- 1 tsp. crushed oregano
- 1 tsp. crushed cumin
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. red cayenne pepper
- 1 c. Kahlua
- 1 (1 lb. 11 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
- In a 4-quart pot, heat oil. Add onions and garlic.
- Saute until soft. Add meat and brown. Add next 10 ingredients and mix well. Add Kahlua.
- Increase heat until mixture simmers.
- Add beans. Simmer partially covered for 45 minutes.
