Dill Cheese Bread
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast or 1 cake compressed yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. cream-style cottage cheese
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. instant minced onions
- 2 tsp. dill weed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 egg
- 2 1/3 c. flour
- butter
- Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl.
- Heat cheese to warm.
- Stir into yeast mixture.
- Stir in rest of ingredients except flour and butter.
- Mix well.
- Beat in flour gradually until completely blended.
- Beat vigorously about 20 strokes.
- (Dough will be sticky and heavy.) Cover; let rise until doubled in bulk. Stir down dough.
- Spoon into 6-cup baking bowl.
- Cover and let rise 45 minutes.
- Bake in moderate oven (350u0b0) for about 50 minutes.
