Jerk-Seasoned Buffalo Hamburger Steak With Mango-Pineapple Salsa
- 1 cup chopped peeled mango
- 3/4 cup chopped pineapple
- 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 small jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 pound ground buffalo
- 2 teaspoons salt-free Jamaican jerk seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cooking spray
- Preheat grill.
- Combine mango, pineapple, onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and jalapeno pepper in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- Divide buffalo into 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/2-inch-thick patty. Sprinkle patties with jerk seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Place patties on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 5 minutes on each side or until done.
