Cherry Sub Gum
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 pkg. Dream Whip
- 1 c. cold milk
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- Cream margarine and flour and add pecans (makes a powdery mess).
- Spread over the bottom of casserole dish.
- Bake 20 minutes or until brown at 450u0b0.
- Cool; run fork through it to loosen.
- (It will still be powdery.)
- In 1 bowl, put Dream Whip and cold milk. Whip until fluffy.
- In another bowl, put cream cheese.
- Cream with confectioners sugar.
- Gradually add cream cheese mixture to Dream Whip using mixer.
- Pour over crust-like mixture and cool.
- When cooled, pour cherry pie filling over.
- Cool, cut into squares and serve.
