Onion Bacon Bread

  1. Combine onion,
  2. bacon
  3. and
  4. garlic in skillet and saute until golden.
  5. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  6. Add milk, sugar, salt and 2
  7. cups
  8. flour.
  9. Beat
  10. until
  11. well blended.
  12. Stir in undrained onion,
  13. bacon
  14. and
  15. garlic.
  16. Add
  17. enough additional flour to make soft
  18. dough.
  19. Knead
  20. well
  21. and let rise in warm place until doubled.
  22. Punch
  23. down and shape into loaf.
  24. Place in greased 9
  25. x 5-inch
  26. loaf pan.
  27. Cover and let rise about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
  28. Bake at 375u0b0 for 45 minutes or until done. Makes one 9-inch loaf.
