Chopped Steak With Caramelized Onion Gravy

  1. To make Steak, mix ground beef, flour, parsley, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, egg, shallot, garlic, salt and pepper in large bowl. Shape mixture into 4 patties (1/2 inch thick); set aside.
  2. Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add patties; cook 10 minutes, turning once, or until browned and cooked through. Transfer patties to serving plates; set aside.
  3. To make Gravy, add butter to skillet. Add onion, thyme, salt and pepper; cook 12 minutes or until onion is caramelized, stirring occasionally. Add flour; stir until smooth. Add brandy and stir, scraping up any browned bits from bottom of pan. Add stock; stir until smooth. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and cook 10 minutes or until gravy is reduced and thickened. Spoon gravy over patties.
  4. Serve with ALEXIA(R) OVEN RED POTATOES, prepared according to package directions.
