Susie'S Stuffed Mushrooms

  1. Wash mushrooms.
  2. Remove and chop stems.
  3. Drain caps.
  4. Saute onion, pepper, sausage, garlic and stems until tender.
  5. Add bread crumbs, cheese, herbs, salt and pepper.
  6. Mix together.
  7. Add chicken broth as needed to make stuffing moist.
  8. Spoon mixture into mushroom caps.
  9. Place in baking dish, stuffing side up.
  10. Add remaining chicken broth and enough water to make 1/4-inch of liquid in bottom.
  11. Bake at 325u0b0
  12. for 25 to 30 minutes.
