Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
- 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
- mocha, vanilla or almond cream cheese filling
- confectioners sugar
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
- Grease and flour 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Beat well after each addition; blend in vanilla.
- Sift flour, soda and salt together.
- Add to creamed mixture.
- Mix well after each addition.
- Blend in melted chocolate.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes.
- Cut horizontally into 3 even layers.
- Spread filling between layers.
