Johnsonville® Italian Sausage, Onions & Peppers Skillet
- 2 cups uncooked whole grain elbow macaroni
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup fat-free milk
- 8 ounces processed American cheese, cubed (Velveeta(R) or Kraft(R))
- 1 link (half of 13.5 ounce package) JOHNSONVILLE(R) Smoked or Three Cheese Italian Style Premium Cooking Sausage, quartered and sliced
- 1 link (half of 13.5 ounce package) JOHNSONVILLE(R) Smoked or Three Cheese Italian Style Premium Cooking Sausage, quartered and sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- In a large skillet, saute the sausage, peppers, onion and garlic in oil until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
- Add tomatoes and pepper flakes. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until heated through.
- Serve on rolls if desired.
