Crab Squares

  1. Remove crust from bread.
  2. Lightly toast one side.
  3. Cut each toasted slice into 4 squares.
  4. Set aside.
  5. Drain and flake canned or thaw, drain and flake frozen crabmeat in medium bowl.
  6. Combine crabmeat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, onion and Worcestershire sauce in a second medium bowl.
  7. Beat egg white until stiff but not dry. Fold into crabmeat mixture.
  8. Spoon about 2 teaspoons on untoasted side of each toast square.
  9. Preheat oven.
  10. Place oven shelf 5 or 8 inches from heating element.
  11. Place squares in broiler pan.
  12. Broil 4 to 5 minutes until browned and bubbly.
  13. Makes 24 servings.
