Bourbon Brownies

  1. Heat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan over low heat, stirring.
  3. Cool.
  4. Beat in vanilla and sugar.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Mix flour and salt, and stir into chocolate mixture.
  7. Spread in greased 8-inch square pan.
  8. Bake about 25 minutes; cool.
  9. When thoroughly cooled, crumble brownies into bowl.
  10. Sprinkle with bourbon; mix with fingers.
  11. Shape in 1-inch balls or logs about 1-inch long.
  12. Roll in sugar.
  13. Store in airtight container for a day before serving or giving as gifts.
