Bourbon Brownies
- 1/3 c. unsalted butter
- 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- about 3 Tbsp. bourbon
- granulated sugar
- Heat oven to 325u0b0.
- Melt butter and chocolate in saucepan over low heat, stirring.
- Cool.
- Beat in vanilla and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix flour and salt, and stir into chocolate mixture.
- Spread in greased 8-inch square pan.
- Bake about 25 minutes; cool.
- When thoroughly cooled, crumble brownies into bowl.
- Sprinkle with bourbon; mix with fingers.
- Shape in 1-inch balls or logs about 1-inch long.
- Roll in sugar.
- Store in airtight container for a day before serving or giving as gifts.
