Turkey Stuffing(Serves 8)
- 4 c. seasoned, cubed stuffing mix
- 4 c. unseasoned, country cubed stuffing mix
- 4 c. corn bread stuffing mix
- 1 large onion
- 2 cans seasoned turkey gravy
- 1/2 lb. sweet butter
- 1 lb. country breakfast sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. golden seedless raisins
- 1 c. dark seedless raisins
- Fry sausage in large skillet on moderate heat; break in very small pieces.
- Melt butter in large saucepan.
- Add nuts and raisins; mix well.
- Simmer for 30 minutes over low heat.
- Add water if needed.
- Add sausage and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
- Heat 2 cans of turkey gravy in another saucepan.
